Did you ever want to harness the energy that children have? Well, we do. If you have ever seen kids with light up shoes, they are not powered by batteries but by a device that converts pressure to electricity. Now you can have this same device for experimenting.

Making your own Smartwatch

3/18/2017

I have always been fascinated by digital watches. Yea, I know, pretty geeky. When smartwatches came out, I thought that it would be the coolest thing ever. But as it turned out, they just became small displays for our phones. So I set out to create a smartwatch that was a stand alone computer and could be programmed to do anything you wanted with the very popular Arduino system. I started the project as part of a contest that Atmel was doing (I did not win), but continued it to improve the original design. You can see videos of the project at my YouTube channel: https://youtu.be/G1-fJkdh0o4
And you can read up on the project on my blog: http://arduinosmartwatch.blogspot.com/

And here is where I first conceived of the idea. It shows the power of a breadboard: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V1kwe0kx0b4

I hope to continue to offer interesting, engaging, and educational products to help motivate and inspire nuts like me.
