I have always been fascinated by digital watches. Yea, I know, pretty geeky. When smartwatches came out, I thought that it would be the coolest thing ever. But as it turned out, they just became small displays for our phones. So I set out to create a smartwatch that was a stand alone computer and could be programmed to do anything you wanted with the very popular Arduino system. I started the project as part of a contest that Atmel was doing (I did not win), but continued it to improve the original design. You can see videos of the project at my YouTube channel: https://youtu.be/G1-fJkdh0o4
And you can read up on the project on my blog: http://arduinosmartwatch.blogspot.com/ And here is where I first conceived of the idea. It shows the power of a breadboard: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V1kwe0kx0b4 I hope to continue to offer interesting, engaging, and educational products to help motivate and inspire nuts like me.
